SYMPATEX REFLEXION: A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO SLEEPING OUTDOORS

AESS and MFPS products manufactured by Pacific Research Group exclusively use Sympatex Reflexion.

Most any sleeping bag used within a PAC RES GRU Reflexion shelter will see a 30 degree increase in cold protection. This means that a 10C rated sleeping bag is capable of keeping you warm to as low as -20C inside the AESS shelter while a 0C rated sleeping bag is good to -30C, and when combined, you're covered to at least as low as -40C/-40F.

Too, we've found that LESS equals MORE. A lower (or restricted) loft sleeping bag or blanket actually facilitates better results. Whether you're on frozen ground, shifting sand, or a forest floor, with a self-inflating or closed cell mattress (between the ground and the under-side of the shelter), the performance is demonstrably better than any other sleep system or bivy available today.

Fabric, thread, zippers, pulls, web, cord, tube, pumps, spikes, insulation, all ot it. Every single item and component in an AESS product is 100% percent recyclable. You can put it in a recycling bin, drop it in the trash, or you can send it back to us and receive a discount on the purchase of a new AESS, AESS-E, or AESS-2, or whatever is the latest version of product we have available. The AESS product is a 360° Thermal Reflective Environment. The more body heat you put out, the warmer you'll sleep. Even if you sleep "cold", you'll find that you will sleep warmer in an AESS with the Low-Loft system than you will in a competitive product with any other type of sleeping bag and blanket set.

Although you can use any sleeping and blanket combination with the AESS (and MFPS) product PAC RES GRU offers the ability to eliminate any possible conflict by offering a complete package, that works best with the shelter. As such, when you buy an AESS you receive everything you need to utilize the system in any conceivable condition or environment.

Because we've included everything you need: shelter, sleeping bag, convertible blanket, self-inflating mattress with stuff sack, full product compressible stuff sack, repair components, dual action manual pump, C02 injector, peg pairs for snow, normal and rocky terrain, use and care card, and two locatable mesh storage bags. One for accessories, and one for whatever you want to put in it.

So rather than a pack/ship weight and completely different trail weight - what you'll receive is what you'll pack and carry on the trail. Nothing else is required for it to function.

The difference between an AESS, AESS-E and AESS-2 is in length, width, and height only. Everything else is STANDARD. Although we offer and recommend you purchase the complete system, you do have the option of buying what you want, what you need.
